On our last day, we had to leave our wonderful hosts to take our plane. But before that, we decided to have lunch at Arrecife, the capital of Lanzarote.
We first walked the road next to the sea, and came across a workout competition. Then we walked until the Castillo San Gabriel, which gives a beautiful view of the city. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the time to go to see El Charco de San Gines, but our hosts had told us it was really great so we can advise you to go as well 😉
It was funny to see the city teeming with life, while on the contrary you can feel so alone in the world 15min from there, in the middle of a lava field.
Then, we had a quick lunch and it was time to leave… we headed to the airport, gave back the car and took our plane. During the flight, we flew over the Strait of Gibraltar, and had the pleasure to see the sparkling Eiffel Tower when approaching Paris by night.
